Job Profile

Vista America is setting a new standard for private flying across the United States. Behind every flight is a team of experts keeping our pilots trained, our aircraft ready and our clients flying with confidence. Join us and help keep that standard high.

Our pilots train on full-flight simulators and flight training devices (FTDs), and we need experienced technicians who can keep them accurate, reliable and compliant.

This role is for someone who is knowledgeable about complex electronic systems. Whether your background is military or civilian, you’ll take on the full range of simulator support with a high degree of independence, and be a go-to person when things don’t go to plan.

Your Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and replace simulator and FTD components, including electrical, sub-system and hydraulic systems, with little to no assistance
  • Carry out configuration changes and modifications, then test and confirm everything is working as it should
  • Monitor simulator performance and condition to keep it in line with regulatory requirements
  • Support Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tasks and work to our Quality Operating Procedures
  • Recommend the parts, acquisitions and materials needed to keep devices in top condition
  • Spot and report safety hazards as part of our Safety Management System

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in electronics or a related technical field
  • An associate degree in electronics, or completion of a civilian or military electronics technical school (preferred)
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and logic analyzers
  • Confidence reading system prints and schematics, with strong analog and digital theory
  • Proven soldering and circuit board repair skills
  • Good PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing schedules

What we offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Health, dental and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Vacation aligned with office employees
  • Ongoing training and professional development
