The Associate Attorney is a full-time position reporting to the General Counsel, managing the day-to-day legal needs of Vista America, a private jet operator. The Associate Attorney will assist in providing advice on legal matters across the company, handling operational legal needs of the Legal Department, supporting outside counsel relationships, and drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. This role is well-suited for an attorney with 2–4 years of experience who is looking to grow within a dynamic in-house legal environment in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities
- Work effectively with all departments, which shall include reviewing and drafting contracts, assistance in potential litigation matters, and advising on legal issues specific to each department.
- Draft and negotiate operational agreements, such as and without limitation, Master Services Agreements for business departments, marketing, and business development agreements, and service and supply agreements.
- Support all day to day needs of the Legal Department.
- Develop and modify policies, practices, and guidelines to confirm with business requirements and maintain compliance with applicable state, federal and international laws, and regulations.
- Manage dissemination within the company of information needed to maintain compliance with laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with human resources to implement risk management and corporate structuring initiatives.
- Assist with the selection, retention, and management of outside counsel.
Required education and experience
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility for admission in the jurisdiction of employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to businesses.
- 2–4 years of practice with an established law firm or relevant in-house counsel experience (in-house experience highly preferred).
- Proficient experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
- Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality.
